Tactical and Trauma Medicine

Tactical and Trauma Medicine

Tactical Medicine is one of the most vital skills a gun owner or first responder can learn. These courses can save lives in a civilian context, plus one should always be prepared to plug holes if they are prepared to make holes. We also feel it is a duty for civilians and responders to save lives whether it be a gunshot wound, terror attack, a simple car wreck or chainsaw accident.

We offer intro Stop the Bleed classes which are great for bare necessities but recommend for anyone serious. The Tactical Medicine 101 class which is the foundation of tactical medicine (TCCC) and a Tactical Medicine 102 class which will consist of live-fire high stress tactical scenarios. We also offer our advanced skills course, mass casualty course, and K9 medicine.

Stop the Bleed- This is a basic bleeding control class for all civilians. It is a licensed class just like CPR, except it covers traumatic bleeding from automobile wrecks, range accidents, workplace or machine injuries, and more. (2hrs/$25)

Beyond Stop the Bleed/ Intermediate Trauma Care- This class will go beyond Stop the Bleed and take it a step further. It will address how to keep patients alive until transferred to a higher level of care. It will cover bleeding control, chest wounds, splinting, addressing shock, airway management, and patient movement and extraction. (4hrs/$60)

Tactical Medicine 1 (TECC/TCCC)- We utilize the military's TCCC curriculum with a current twist to fit more applicable threats. We take extra steps and care to ensure the student has a full understanding of the medical equipment and knowledge needed to enter any dangerous or traumatic situation confidently. The instructors will utilize realistic scenarios at the end of these classes for the students to practice providing medical care in different high stress or tactical situations. These classes are recommended to anyone who wishes to better prepare themselves for any type of medical emergency whether a civilian, law enforcement, or operator. Topics will include a medical problem in a tactical situation, tourniquets, airway, chest wounds, splinting, hypothermia, traumatic wounds, patient movement and extraction, triage, and more! Truly our most valuable class.  (8hrs/$125)

Tactical Medicine 2- Tactical Medicine 2 is the intense live-fire and force on force course after Tactical Med 1 as the student must be proficient in shooting and their medical knowledge. This class will consist of high stress scenarios making the student engage threats while treating victims in force on force and on the range. (8hrs/$150)

Mass Casualty Active Shooter Medical Care- This class is all about patient triage, multiple casualties, treatments, and patient staging and movement. We will have multiple role playing wounded (around 6 or more) for students to spend time reviewing their medical treatments, triaging victims in a variety of scenarios, patient collection and extraction, and more. (6hrs/$175)

Advanced Technical Medical Skills- Students will learn how to administer advanced invasive life-saving medical interventions. This should not be practiced in everyday life, but might be necessary in austere or survival situations. Topics include injections, IVs, suturing, staples, surgical airways, and more. (8hrs/$200)

K9 Trauma Medicine- This will be a class for K9 handlers/owners (law enforcement, military, EDD, search and rescue, etc) as well as responsible citizens. Taught in conjunction with active handlers, medical instructors, and veterinary staff to learn how to treat yourself, as well as your four legged companion.
