Advanced 201 TacMed/TECC is our new favorite class here at ADG. When our instructors went through tactical medical training from various companies and agencies, the common theme is that we all learned how and when, but not the why and what comes after. That common theme is what drove us to research, train, and develop this course. Not only will you learn how to perform a chest decompression for example, but the whys, the when, the diagnosis and procedures, and then the steps on what comes next, such as how to know if it’s working, how to monitor results, what surgical applications such as a chest tube follow, and more. This is a very intensive class and not for the squeamish or basic civilian. We will be practicing many applications on real meat rigged with squirting blood, as well as using fake skin and real IV training arms. What this class has been designed for the defense conractor or TEMS medic who might need to keep a patient alive for hours before extraction can be performed, or for the medic in a SHTF scenario, not for practice in civilian life on the streets. This class is perfect for any defense contractor, TEMS, or students who want an in-depth grasp on trauma medical applications who might want to remain medically self-sufficient treating a casualty for an unknown amount of time in a preparedness type scenario.
